ROI Student of the Month

I’m a single mom to an amazing 17-year old son. I’m taking the Certified Remote Work Professional course to prepare for my upcoming change in life status as an empty nester. I want to be able to provide for myself but also do some traveling and not be tied down. During Covid, the company I work for went remote, for about 4 years.  Recently, they have required us to come back into the office which no longer supports my lifestyle. I’m taking this course to help boost my resume as I search for my next remote work opportunity. I’ve learned a lot of great tools and terminology so far in this course and look forward to learning even more before it’s complete.

Navigating the new workplace: Office, remote, or both?

Whether to return to the office or continue remote work has become a classic dilemma. While some thrive on in-person collaboration, others find remote work improves their productivity and work-life balance.

Rather than issue top-down policies, wise leaders will thoughtfully consider their teams' unique needs and preferences. With empathy and communication, customized compromises can get the benefits of both worlds.

There's power in giving employees autonomy over when and where they do their best work. The adaptable hybrid model may be the golden mean.
